Best boots for winter

Two girls are a 7.5E in clarks, the little one is 3.5. They all need boots for winter and the clarks range felt cheap, despite hefty £50 price tag. Where else could I look for good budget options?

I like Start-rite, lelli kelly & timberland for a well fitted quality shoe/boot that'll last.

We got dd1 a pair of Clarks boots that she wore for the last two winters so I've just happily paid £48 for another pair for this winter that don't feel cheap. Are you looking at the leather boots? Dd1 old boots are in good enough nick that I've put them aside for dd2.

Yes, I was looking at leather. Their school shoes are Clarks, and they ruined them in minutes. DC1 is very tough on shoes. M&S have some plain leather ones around the 30 mark, but I'm also wondering if snow boots might make better sense.

We do m&s for school shoes and clarks for casual shoes.

I do know what you mean though, I get really annoyed paying good money for shit that just falls apart.
