How do I manage this?

My DC and I were talking a walk in the park around 5pm yesterday, all was good and my DS (aged 12) was walking a bit ahead of us. we were leaving the park now.
A group of boys (aged 8-15) were walking into the park and walked past my DS.
My DS just stood there and waited for me, I wondered why he had stopped and when I got to him, he told me those boys just asked me to leave the bombs alone.
We are British Indian.
This is so upsetting but how do I tell my 12 year old to manage this type of behaviour?

I am so sorry that you have experienced this. Please reassure your ds that these idiots are not typical, and that most people do not think or behave this way.

I think he did a good job, he ignored and waited for you. Very sensible.
