How old was your toddler when potty trained??

My dd1 is 2y 8 months and just doesn't want to know. I've tried everything I can think of. Will happily sit on potty with a nappy/ trousers on and the same in the toilet but has no interest when the nappy comes off.
She knows exactly what to do, we've watched videos, she sits her baby dolly on the potty and pretend she's done a wee and wipes her, tells her well done so she knows but I just can't get her to do it.
Shall I just wait until she's ready, just getting worried as she's nearly 3 and we are still no closer to cracking it

2yrs 7 months. He showed no real interest in doing it, still wasn't bothered about having a wet or dirty nappy, no alerts that a poo was coming either. Left potty in the front room for him to use if wanted. I just went for it, his dad agreed to start there as well. Took about a week or 2. No pull ups, just pants or bare bum.
Night time he was mostly dry say 5 out of 7 nights by 3yrs. Gradually improved and fully by 3 1/2yrs.. still had the odd accident even up to 5yrs. Mattress protectors are a life saver.

DS - 2yr 8months
DD -2 yr 2 months

Both of them told me "Pants today" and we took it from there. DS cracked it (wees, poos, night, day) in s couple of weeks. DD did the same in 48 hrs. I think the trick was waiting for them to tell me they were ready, rather than me deciding it was time.

put ds1 in pants at 2.5 due to family pressure. he wet himself at least once a day until he was 3, then i put him back in pull ups as was due another baby and couldn't cope with the stress. tried again at 3y4m and he cracked it in a day.

Partly depends on the child. Partly depends on how many accidents everyone is ok with. Partly depends on when you have a chunk of time to devote to it. Also things like sn and constipation. Ds2 has constipation and took another 6 months to be clean.

Mine were potty trained around 3. Ime (although everyone is different...) potty training earlier tends to require a few weeks Gina Ford style.

And mil can shove off with her 'in my day...'.

Ds was 2.5, it took a weekend and by the next week he was dry at night too.

Dd is now 2.4 and showing no inclination (she's even refusing to have a bath without a swim nappy on after an unfortunate poo incident a few weeks ago). I'm not in a rush.

Mine started at about 2.5 and was reliably dry by 2.8. I think he managed it fairly early I wouldn't have been worried if he hadn't got it yet. He used to have accidents mainly because he would hold his wee for hours and hours and then get distracted.
