Hi,

Started weaning ds two weeks ago at 23 weeks. He used to take upto 40oz of milk in 24 hours. Introduced lunch and he was taking 30/32oz.

Now he is eating more for his lunch he has cut right down on his milk. Around 20/25oz

I'm going to introduce breakfast this week I think but I'm just not sure how much milk he should be taking? Can anyone help?

How much food are you giving and are you still giving milk before food as milk is still very important? A minimum of 20oz is recommended between 6 months and 1 year so you don't want him to cut down too much more

Thanks for the reply, he tends to have his bottles 7am, 11am, 3pm & 7pm. I am doing his lunch at 12/1ish depending on a nap. I feel lost.

If anyone can share their routine that would be helpful x

I wouldn't stress. my DD used to only take about 12oz at that age. went to dr/paed and just said mix it in food and jot to worry....some kids just do this!
