Is it still 'co-sleeping' if they're 18months?

Sometimes if my LB is poorly or gets up we bring into our bed and I just wonder if I should still be looking at co-sleeping 'rules'?

Aside from the fact, I'm worried he will wriggle down the bed and fall off! M

I still cosleep with my just 2yo. I follow the rules like not drinking or smoking, drugs etc (don't do anyway) but not the no duvets and pillows seeing as most kids that age would have them in a cot anyway. I use a mattress on the floor tho, mine falls off a lot!

You should do whatever feels right for you; there are tons of studies that say that co sleeping and bedsharing past infancy have loads of benefits for children. In fact, instead of making children 'clingy' or not independent, it was found that children who bed share grow up to be less fearful and more sociable.
If you're sleeping alone with your daughter in the bed you could use a bed guard to stop rolling, otherwise I think she's safe in between her two parents!
Please do whatever your family wants!

I co-sleep with my 2 year old every night. He sleeps in a sleeping bag and I fold the duvet back on his side of the bed. I use a bed guard on his side and he doesn't have any pillows. I use just one pillow.

I co sleep with my 2 and 4 year old; 4 year old has a toddler bed pushed up to my bed so it's like we have one giant bed. Was meant to be for the 2 year old but with my OH working away most of the time, having both in with me is a whole lot easier!
I don't follow any 'rules' except for the obvious no alcohol if sleeping by them, etc. Quilts and pillows are no problem

My 5 year old still jumps in our bed sometimes.
We don't follow all the 'rules' now. For example we will drink alcohol etc and share bed and have done since they were a few months. But I mean a glass of wine with diner maybe, not an evening out getting trashed

I got more laid back when he turned one, they can have their own duvet then anyway. If you're worried about falling out of bed you could put a duvet or something on the floor? Mine has rolled off and carried on sleeping

We used duvets at 1 but he slept on top of the duvet in a sleeping bag as I was still feeding and didn't want his head under the duvet when looking for milk in the night! He still slept at chest height to me.

Ours in the middle of the night. I think it's nice and you do what's best to all get a good nights sleep. She's not clingy in the slightest, in fact the opposite...a very confident little girl
