Anyone elses DC do this with napping?

DS2 is 2.5 years and over the last few weeks has started napping every other day. So, no nap days he gets up between 7 and 7.30am then bed by 7pm, usually asleep by 7.30pm. He then gets up the next morning about 6.30am so needs a nap by 12.30 and I wake him up at 2pm. He then goes to bed about 7.30 asleep by 8.15 then the whole cycle repeats. With my eldest he just slowly decreased the amount of nap until he didn't need it anymore so this is a different way of doing it..... I prefer the daily short naps my eldest did.....

Yes I think we did that for a while, then naps less frequently. Annoying though!!

Yes then down to 2 a week then stopped all together.

My DD does this! Not as regularly as every other day but she's gone from one no-nap day each week to two no-nap days. I guess she'll keep going until she doesn't nap at all. I don't mind, bedtimes on days she doesn't nap are a dream! She still has quiet/resting time on days she doesn't nap if we're at home, so she'll lie on her bed and look at books or play with her cuddly toys.

DD has pretty much stopped napping (same age) but I still send her up to her room for a 'rest' for me for about an hour.

She used to sometimes fall asleep but now she usually just potters with her books and cuddly toys.

She'll still sleep in the car or sometimes at the childminder. Just goes to sleep later 8-9
