My baby is almost one!

So my little boy's first birthday is fast approaching and family are starting to ask for gift ideas. I have no clue what is best for both us and them to buy him. What have you found that your little ones have got most use and enjoyment out of at this age?

My DD was 1 in March. We got her the early learning wooden post box ( this has been hit and miss), and the Btoys farm (this has been a real hit played with everyday)
Other stuff she's had and plays with.. happy land figures actually any small world figures. Books last few months she's become obsessed. Musical instruments.

Hello! I think when our son is none we're going to be really annoying and say if anyone wants to give a gift (outside of immediate fam) make a small (fiver or less) donation to the uni fund. Very obnoxious of us I know, but my partner has such a huge family that I know we'd wind up with an unmanageable amount of toys, and as he'll be at nursery every day don't think he'll really need loads at home. From immediate family will ask for books. Hope the party goes well! X

My 13 month old loves the pop up play tent we got him. He also loves balls and cars that he can push, books and his "uff uff" which is a big dog teddy.
