What is the silliest / most complicated costume you have been asked to produce for school plays?

I have just run out of cotton 3/4 way through DS's spider costume - which needs to be at school tomorrow - so cheer me up -what is the most ridiculous demand (request) you have had to deal with?

I once asked my mother to run me up a worm costume.
I never made that mistake again and can't type what she said in reply as I don't want to get myself banned

Not for school, but for am-dram panto I had to make a Vegetable Fairy costume. Spent bleedin' hours sewing plastic veg on an old wedding dress & making "magic leeks" out of rolled up tissue paper

What does the vegetable fairy do - grant only veg-related wishes?!

It was for Jack & The Beanstalk...though I guess I could have had plenty of veg innuendo jokes if we hadn't have been putting it on in a church hall!
