Loose nappies

My ds 10 months has recently started nursery. I had to collect him early the other day as he had had three loose nappies. My question is what is meant by a loose nappy? He has very soft poo most days and I am a little concerned that they will be phoning me every week to collect him when I should be at work. Can anyone advise?

You need to ask them. My DD had really loose nappies, very soft and watery, but nursery knew it was normal for her the time (turned out it was due to an intolerance) so unless she was unwell otherwise they would just get on with it. Worth speaking with his networker and talking through what is normal for your DD.
