hi all

Am just sitting here adoring DS and wondering when he will start smiling. I know books say from 6wks but I'm sure i remember my daughter smiling occasionally from 4.5 wks.

DS is only 2 wks so way too early yet but he sometimes 'smiles' when he's got wind/pulling faces and he looks so gorgeous - i can't wait for him to do it for real.

When did your babies smile?

DS was bang on 6 weeks.
DD around 5 weeks I think.

About 7 weeks until they were definitely smiles, maybe little half smiles before that, but that was probably wishful thinking. I think mine is a thickie. However, she smiles constantly now, so she's an adorable thickie. The only hitch is, laughing makes her throw up, so I have 20 seconds of laughing followed by a big spew.
