Tots Bots Bamboozle - Wraps

This may be a dumb question, but my DD's urine leaks right through the paper liner and her cloth nappy on to the inside of the wrap. I was advised that I only needed 4 wraps that don't need to be washed every time, but surely if the urine goes through the cloth, then it's going on the wrap and so that should really be changed every time too? Does anyone have any advice please?

Unless they get pooed on, I wash PUL wraps with a damp cloth and soap and leave them to air between uses. I also have a wool wrap which I just air between uses (wool is naturally antibacterial) and it does not smell of urine. I think the same theory applies to fleece wraps, because fleece wicks moisture away from the body but does not actually absorb any liquid. HTH.

Thanks. That mankes sense. I like the sound of the wool wraps. Where did you get them?

Pretty much the same as Roskva said - I have a fresh wrap for bed and in the morning. I wash the wraps after each 12 hour block iyswim, unless they are wool which I love.

I use woollywraps - they are pricey but sooo good. Once they are lanolised they only need washing when they start to smell after airing (every couple of weeks here).

My first wool wrap I bought used on ebay. I've just bought another from an American ebay seller here , who makes them herself which worked out at just over £11 including airmail postage. I only paid for it yesterday, so it has not been delivered yet. The self same one on UK ebay costs £14.99 + postage!
