How much do you play with your children during the day?

I often wonder this. I don't play with my two much. Too often I'm on mumsnet or fixing lunch/tea or cleaning up kitchen, doing washing etc. Obviously I have two children so they play with each other alot but am I being a bit slack not taking time to play with them? To be really honest I don't enjoy it THAT much but I do take them lots of places to play with other children etc. Oh I don't know, I'm sure this thread has been done a million times before but I'm feeling a little guilty today, not sure why!

don't feel guilty I don't play all that much with my kids either. Mainly do stuff at the weekend or when dd is in school I build a train track for ds and then he plays with it by himself... . You write you take them to lots of places to play with other children... which they probably prefer anyway than mummy who grudginly will play

I don't, or didn't.

But then the other week dd1 asked me if it was a Mummy Day tomorrow (I work 3 days) and she was very pleased when I said it was and said "can we do lots of playing and no cleaning then?" .

So now I leave the house in a dump and do all my jobs when they have gone to bed.

We do craft (which I don't like tbh), barbies, small dolls with small pieces, Megablocks, reading, play cooking with the ELC kitchen.

My DD is 3.9 & I too don't play much with her in the day. We have a good laugh & play boo etc on the way home from nursery, & we have had a quick game of 'play hairdressers' today. She appears quite content with that, & doesn't really demand anymore of my attention.
If your LO's are demanding you attention & you're ignoring them, then you have something to feel guilty about. You do at least do something with your children, so dont beat yourself up love.

Not as much as I think I should. Actually make that never - I just don't play with them. We do other stuff like Playdoh and crafts, but I just can't be bothered to play with them. Actually if you try, they just get frustrated and want to get on with their own games anyway.
