potty trained dd2 keeps saying wee wee but not going!!

DD2 is 21mths old and has been out of nappies since October, but last few weeks seems to be constantly saying 'Wee Wee' but when i put her on poty she gets up and says 'No wee wees mummy', But no matter how much i tell her only to tell mummy when she needs to go- nothing works?? any ideas

Both of mine did this. I think she's just found the perfect way to get mums attention by saying two little words.

Mine stopped doing it after a while but even with my 2.5yr old, if I'm chatting to a friend or busy with something, she will say "wee wee", knowing that I'll come running.

She'll grow out of it, she's just clever

Thanks, it helps to know that im not the only one! I guessed it was an attention thing i just didnt know whether to just ignore her? but i dont want her to wet herself- should i just keep going to her even when i know she doesnt need to go? or tell her off when she doesn't go?
