When did you start reading stories to your kids at bedtime and what did you read to them?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

we did it from about aged 1 and I bought a 'job lot' of 10 really nice story books similar to this from the Book People to get us started. We still read them sometimes now and he's 5!

About 6 to 9 months. Just picture books, usually of rhymes they were familiar with. (Especially Head, shoulders knees and toes,or say, This Little Piggy). Satre and Proust came a little later.
