Normal milk is totally fine - the others are a marketing ploy

wobblywonderwoman · 27/07/2016 16:40

Sorry - vitamins - you could get some but if they are having their normal meals abd in good health you wont need to. I actually put both of mine onto semi skimmed but they have quite a lot of milk

OhHolyFuck · 27/07/2016 16:41

Normal full fat cows is great, assuming no allergies
He'll get everything else he needs from food, doesn't need formula

The official advice is full fat cows milk plus vitamin D supplement.

LaContessaDiPlump · 27/07/2016 16:43

Official advice is to switch from human breastmilk (or human breastmilk substitute) to cow breastmilk. Because that obviously makes sense Hmm

LaContessaDiPlump · 27/07/2016 16:44

Sorry op, being facetious there. Other posters are right about the official advice.

n0ne · 27/07/2016 16:45

Full fat normal cow or goat milk

Katieemilyxo · 27/07/2016 18:50

My ds was 1 last month and he will not take to cows milk at all as a drink, he takes it in cereal but thats it. I got advised to put him on the 1-2 formula as he wasnt taking cows milk. I dont know if its the taste of it he doesnt like

paddypants13 · 27/07/2016 19:09

My HV said full fat cows' milk and a vit d supplement. I still give my ds follow on formula though because he prefers it.

calamityjam · 27/07/2016 19:12

Normal full fat cows milk in a cup not a bottle if possible because of the concentration of sugars on new teeth
