how quick was second labour if first was also quick?

Hi all. Posting this in pregnancy and parenting.

If you had a quick first labour did you have an even quicker second labour?

My established labour with first baby was just short of 90 minutes. MW is encouraging me to have a home birth this time which would actually be ideal as then I won't have to worry about childcare for LO.

However, with my first, LO'S heartbeat kept dropping plus once I was fully dilated the doctor gave me an episiotomy and used forceps to help baby out. A pediatrician was on hand to immediately check her over. So this is making me nervous about the whole home birth thing! Has anyone needed instrumental assistance with first but then not with subsequent labours? I hope so as this might reassure me about giving birth at home particularly considering baby might be so quick I have no choice anyway!

Even quicker....
My first was a very similar experience to yours, fast and scary.
The second went from no sign of labour to waters breaking to delivery in 2 hours. Just made it to hospital. Although the second baby was not in distress and the birth was straightforward he did have some difficulties straight after birth. I am thankful that I was in hospital and there was a paediatrician there within minutes.
I'm honestly not sure either baby would be here if I'd had home births.

Yes quicker second time. I think I was in established labour for 40 something minutes! DD2 wasn't crying when she was born and although the midwives said she was fine and just shocked (they quickly cut the cord and got her crying) I'm really glad we were there and not at home. Apparently she was blue when she came out and for that reason I wouldn't have a home birth if we were to have more (we're definitely not though!)

Much quicker. First Labour was 4 hours from first minor twinge to delivery. Second was 90 minutes.

Unbearable to delivery 40 mins

My first was 1.5 hours and my second was 5 hours. She was back to back and got stuck which slowed things down a bit! Even though it hurt like buggery it was a much less stressful experience. I had an episiotomy both times.

I was actually glad it was longer because I was worried about getting dd to my sister and dp getting home from work on time. I can't have home births (strep b positive and wouldn't risk it) but luckily our hospital is close by.

DS1 was 2,5hrs, mad dash to hospital, worst memory of my life. DS2 was 1h, contractions were so intense I was unmovable after 10min, very glad I was already in hospital (had a "feeling", went in for a checkup), I would have definitely liked a home birth (not available where I am). Both babies were a bit shocked and as red as boiled lobsters due to pressure but totally fine.

my first was quick for a first labour at 7 hours apparently, that's from water breaking, contractions were only for 4hrs.

My second went from nothing to delivery in 2hrs and i only just made it to the hospital, DD arrived about 5 minutes after i did!

DD was bruised and looked like a smurf for her first week because of how quickly she arrived!

My 1st was 2 hours from 1st contraction (which was 30 mins after waters went) to delivery.

My 2nd was less than 15 mins from 1st contraction (which was 10 mins after waters went) to delivery.
I'd planned a home birth, I ended up delivering with no assistance as it was so quick.
