Lymph node at the back of the head, 8 month old

Hi all

My 8 mo baby boy has had a lymph node that can be felt at the back of his head on one side for a very long time, many months. I've asked my Gp few times about it, he felt it and he said since its not getting bigger and its mobile, it's nothing to worry. However I am Sad Has anyone else experienced this? The last time I tried to find it I didn't feel it and I thought it was gone, but now I can feel it again. I think it's always been there. I'm so nervous.

Thanks in advance.

My DD (5) had it last year after a run of nasty illnesses and ringworm on the back of her neck. It did eventually go away. I asked dr Google and that was actually helpful to learn about healthy vs worrying lymph node stuff in children.

My DS has the same. Watching with interest - got the same view from GP.

My ds 2yrs old has had these for a long time now, he has them up on his neck, armpits and groin. He's had blood tests and a chest x-ray and they can't find anything sinister. Because babies are constantly fighting germs they can be raised and never properly go down so I've been told. Keep an eye out for changes in them.
