Unused Disposable Nappies

Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do with my opened packets of unused Pampers disposable nappies? Are there any charities that take them or companies that recycle them?

My son grows out of his Pampers so quickly, that I end up with opened packets of unused deposable nappies.

Initially I would give them to my sister, who's son is 2 months younger, but he seems to out grow them just as fast and so she doesn't want them.

So any suggestions as to what I can do with them is greatly appriciated.

www.freecycle.org or perhaps your local hospital?

A battered women's shelter?

Oh, good question - shall be watching with interest, as I have six unopened packs of pull-ups too small for dd at the moment.

Oooo, great suggestions! Keep them coming.

I thought some sort of exchange would be great, as I need 4+ and upwards. But my mum said that the postage would cost too much???!

HANA Thanks, but the packets are already opened and half empty, but the nappes are unused

When I had 'leftover' unused nappies I just offered them to an acquaintance at a toddler group whose baby was younger than mine.

Your HV might take them for spares at the baby clinic or may know a mum who would appreciate them if things are very tight.
