Help! I need to buy a birthday cake. Got an inedible one a couple of years ago so don't trust the same supermarket again - anyone had a really good one? Thanks :-)

The cakes from Waitrose are really nice and that caterpillar one from M&S is too. I used to manage parties and those were the favourites

Colin the caterpillar from M&S depends if you want a 'character' cake tho. It's yum and chocolatey

Thanks! Looked at the Cook one yesterday - may go for that if it's good :-)

Try sponge.Co.UK. if you have a bit of time. We got a chocolate orange cake for DS1s birthday. Grin
