Potty training - leaving the house!

I'm thinking of starting the potty training process with my 2 year old who is showing all the signs of being ready. Over the first few days what have you all done with regard to leaving the house? BTW we are not going to use pull-ups but going cold turkey and straight to pants! Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Good for you. Personally i waited until the weather was better and they were in the garden a lot! My best tip -
Get a pack of disposable changing mats to stick under him/her in the buggy or carseat to cut down on your washload.

Im going through this now. I just take a potty everywhere if there is going to be no toilet around. Then I ask every 15 minutes and actually take ds and make him sit on the toilet and try every hour if we are out that long.

It seems to be going very well, except for the time he did a wee in the middle of Costa Coffee. Seems to me its going to happen and all you can do is minimise the chances, cos if theyre gonna go theyre gonna go.

Ooh one other thing I did was arrange to go out with a friend who has a potty trained slightly older child so my ds could see it in action and if he saw his friend go he would want to go too.
