Would you get a haircut for 4 year old boy. Old wives tale says not before 1. Anyone done this ?

No, but my children were completely bald until 18 months old!

I had to get DS2 a hair cut at 4 months, his hair was very long & in his eyes. No way could he have lasted until he was one, he needed another at 8 months too. It was so easy as I held him & he just sat still.

I did

Dd had one ridiculous long clump of hair growing from her crown

She looked like one of those dolls that you could cut the hair and then pull a bit more out

Has caused no long lasting damage!

NeedACleverNN · 17/07/2016 16:45

No reason why you shouldn't.

Old wives tales are that. Just tall tales

SueGeneris · 17/07/2016 16:46

Yep. I did for DS1 - similar to others, he had hair in his eyes. Just seemed sensible.

Both mine needed haircuts before 1 year- 1 boy and 1 girl
