Can DC use bicycle helmets for scooter use?

Not sure if this is a silly question..

But would DC be okay to use bicycle helmets to use whilst on their scooters?

Or should I buy scooter helmets for them?

Bike helmets fine dor pavement stuff - you may want a hardshell bike helmet for skate parks though.
