How many people knew any first aid before they had children? Did becoming a parent make you more keen to learn in case something happened to your child?

I did a first aid course at 34 weeks pregnant, as I didn't feel confident that I had enough knowledge

Did it help with your confidence level?

I was booked one by my parents when d was about 6mo and I'm so glad I did because I needed to use the skills only a couple of weeks later. I'd recommend one to anybody!

I did one with Millie's Trust (free) and I could take my child when she was under one. Best thing I did.

It's great to hear the confidence from all of you that learning first aid has given you. I always say I hope people never have to use what they learn, they have the knowledge and the techniques in case they do need them though! Grin

My DD choked, and I straight away did what I had learnt in first aid. Whilst I was shaking after I am very glad I did the course and knew what to do.
