My little boy who is 19 months for a few weeks has been telling us everytime he's gonna have a poo or wee and now takes his nappy of everytime he has been and understands the feeling of wet?
He took his nappy of so I gave him so free time and then he went and got wipes said uh oh and peed?? is this signs or just him changing a bit

Im not sure if this is him showing signs of being ready to potty train? Or am I just reading the wrong signs??

anyway idea or help would be great as I have no idea.

thanks in advance

SOunds to me like it's worth giving it a go. If it doesn't work out, you can leave it and try again later. My DS is 2.4 and we have just started, after several weeks of him:following people into the loo, climbing up on the toilet seat and requesting his potty. I'm using pull-up nappies to start with to cut down on accidents.

Tinkerbell - It sounds to me that he is showing signs, you could give it a try.

I would go straight from a nappy to pants rather than pull ups so that he can notice the difference if he wets his pants. Let him run around in the pants rather than with no nappy on.

Hope this helps

Just wondering - I probably sound silly but if it becomes a nightmare and its really not happening and maybe he is not ready do I go back to nappies or do I just continue trying.

Also do I inform nursery?

Sorry i sound so silly but I have no idea

I'd say tell the nursery so they can encourage him to use the potty/toilet. The nursery my DS goes to are very good about letting you know what progress you LO has made.
As I say, I'm using pull-ups with DS at the moment to get him used to the idea of potty/toilet without the endless washing and wet clothes (in this arctic weather!) but there are loads of different opinions on what to do.
