totsbots and projectile poo

My 11 day old is in fluffles and while I love them he is an expert at projectile pooing right down his leg. Any tips to keep it in the nappy?

Indith, just saw this. Have you got any standard (terry) totsbots? I found these better at containing the poo. Otherwise, motherease airflow wraps or totsbots fleeces seem to contain it best.
Are you using size 1 or 2?

he is in size 1. Just have fluffles, can't really afford to buy more. He is better with the fleece at night. Maybe he just needs a bit more fat on his legs

I'm using both Tots originals and Fluffles on DS (5 months), and I have leaky poo issues with both. I used both on DD and never had problems with either (although DD was on solids by the time I tried the Fluffles, so the poo was less squirty).

My only suggestion would be to try tucking the elastic leg bit inwards on itself (does that make sense?). This might help with a more lissom-legged baby

If it's any consolation, we had to use disposables for a couple of months, and had pretty much a 100% explosion rate. It's about 30% with cloth nappies at the moment, and even then it's not as extensive.

try using a terry booster as a liner as it will absorb some of the poo and stop it escaping?

terry squares are v cheap and easy to use and excellent for poo-leakage....

Agree with babypowder re motherease wraps. My DD is in bamboozles and we've never had a leakage problem probably because she is so chunky legged!

I could send you one of my totsbots terries, if you wanted (I've got loads!) That way you could try it and see if there's any difference. They are too expensive to buy just on the off chance that they contain the poo better!

Well fleece liners rather than paper seem to be better. No explosions ysterday!

Am also thinking it might have something to do with the way mummy does the nappies up and the way daddy does.

BP- Think I'll see how`we go for now but thanks for the offer!
