I have a dd who is 2. Before the school pick up she waa watching frozen.
We had to go so I paused it for when we got back.
Collected ds who is 6 from school. Got home, I put frozen back on.
Ds asked if he could watch scooby doo film. I said yes but after frozen had finished as there was only 10mins left.
2mins later dd us screaming and all upset. I go in to find that ds has turned frozen off and started to put his dvd in.
I flipped yelled at him sayig that I specifically said wait until frozen has finished. The. i called him a spoilt brat!
He got upset and stormed off to his room. I didn't follow as I needed to cool down, and he closes down if I shout.... I try not to do it often, but doing it more than usual atm!
I feel awful, and have now apologised but I seem to have absolutely no patience with my dc atm!

Sounds normal to me....today I called my ds selfish as he was insisting he was the first to start the Nutella. This...after insisting he was the first to start the ketchup, the Mayo....kicked off a rant from me!

I find that sort of behaviour really winds me up too. It's a combination of them not being grateful that they're getting a treat/the thing they want anyway they just have to do one thing/wait one minute first and the disobedience.

Exactly apple I was completely bewildered as to why he couldn't just wait 10mins. He was getting what he wanted!
As it is, I took the dvd off him and told him he wasn't watching it at all now. Which is a fair enough consequence, but add om the shouting & name calling I took it too far.
I wish I's just calmly taken the dvd away.

Haha, normal day as a mother! You are seriously calm and good at censoring if that's the worst you've ever said ;)
