7yo's friends dwindling

My daughter has always had lots of friends but over recent weeks has come home saying she had no-one to play with at school all day. She had a big group in reception but for various reasons a lot have moved away.
Is there anything I can do to help? Advice please?

Have you asked people over after school? Is this an option?

I cried the day my 7 yo DD came home and told me she had spent all lunchtime on the buddy bench so I know how you feel. It's heartbreaking not being able to fix it for them. :(

We have had friends back but now she says she can't suggest anyone that she wants to come and play.
I'm hoping it's just a phase and it will get better. It's a decent sized school and when they mix up the classes for the next year it will create a new dynamic. Fingers crossed.
