Screen time

What are people's policies on screen time? I have a 12 year old and am wondering if we're allowing him too much. We use the app OurPact which limits internet access on his phone and this has unsurprisingly been met with mixed reviews from him.

I've learned that it depends a lot on the individual.
My eldest needed restrictions in place, and us to do things like take his phone off him at night / never have a TV in his room, but the younger two have at various times in their lives had TV in their room and have been capable of following sensible 'rules' or guidelines.

Difficult one - my kids love screens and I think they've learnt a lot about the world using them - and enjoyed themselves, which matters! -, but you can't police it all the time unless you're in the same room. Agreed with BackforGood that it depends on the child.
