What age for pushchair as apposed to pram?

Hi all, I have a 5 month old who can sit for 10-20'seconds unaided and has good head controlle (although shows no interest at all in rolling) At what age did you move them into a pushchair instead of the carry cot? I know advice is 6 months but did anyone do it earlier? Same goes for jumparoos/activity centres/walkers/high chairs (not starting solids yet) Should I wait for 6 months? Many thanks.

It depends entirely on the model, and how far it reclines. Some are suitable from birth.

We moved dd from the carry cot into the pushchair at about a 60° incline at 4 months. She also started using a door bouncer (without interest) and a jumparoo a few weeks after this. My HV told me that as soon as your baby is comfortably holding their head upright without any wobble and show more of an interest in sitting/being upright, they can go into a pushchair. However, you'll find they likely still sleep while being pushed in the pushchair!

Can't remember exactly when we moved dd into a pushchair seat but it was definitely earlier than 6 months. Despite being quite little she outgrew the cocoon bit of the Phil & Teds at 4.5-5 months, I managed with the sling for a short while but it was a pain all of the time as I don't drive so we just put her in the chair bit. She was fine.

We moved DS at around 4.5 months, I think. We decided to because he was becoming more unhappy with the carrycot - he wanted to be able to see what was going on around him. I remember going for a walk and having to carry him around in my arms as he really didn't want to be in the carrycot! So we switched to the pushchair quite soon after that!

DS was 10 weeks he hated lying in the carrycot would cry until he was sick he had good had control and didn't slouch in it so it seemed a safer option than the screaming. It was reclined on the lowest setting until just over 4 months before he went up to a more sitting position I think as long as they have a straight back and don't fold in on themselves it's fine.

On a side note DS never rolled until he started crawling at 8 months it's quite common not to roll it seems more common in babies who don't like to lie down that's my personal observation though not fact.

My DD is 5 months and we moved her into the pushchair 2 weeks ago

At about 8 weeks. We have an uppababy cruz and we got a newborn insert for the chair seat so we could use it early. She was much happier once out of the carrycot.
