We're thinking about getting the bamboozle nappies after going off the bambino mio things after hearing lots of leaky stories.. ...so, if we're thinking about washing every couple of days (the nappies not the baby.. ;-) ) how many nappies do we need? Asking you lot as your more trustworthy than a website trying to sell them to me!

Thanks in advance..

tots bots do multipacks which contain 15 nappies. I think that should be enough if you plan to wash every other day. The only thing about bamboozles is that they take forever to dry so it may be worth getting between 15-20 nappies particularly if you don't want to use a tumble drier to take into account the extra drying time. I have a 19 month ds and I wash my nappies nearly everyday sometimes every other day and I survive with 10 however I do have to tumble the bamboozles other wise I find they take 2 days to dry!

Cheers Tutu! Nappies about the last thing we need to buy for impending birth. Will order some of the nice rainbow coloured ones I think.

Perhaps it might be worth getting a few of the cotton rainbow bots as well - they dry faster than regular tots and bamboozles?
The nappy nippa version is very slim fitting as well and can be folded down from birth.
Or Bumbles - cotton or bamboo can be folded down and stuffed for absorbency later, but fast drying because of the open ended pocket.
Sorry to confuse.
Oh and they also come in colours (cotton version) and under £7 per nappy.

I have only just started using reusable...I love my bumbles....bamboozles take so long to dry and can use a nippa nappis which are great

Sorry!!
Here is a good picture at Kittykins - hald way down the page Bumble
I could only see it in white though.
The easypeasy website (owners make bumbles) has colours and the new bambeasy, which is a bamboo bumble (phew!). If you do a search on easy peasy nappies you should find it.
Only thing is, they are charging more than kittykins.
Also a friend of mine makes these They are very popular and reasonably priced. She's really nice and helpful and on top of the regular nappies, will make nappies to fit your baby or with fabric that you like.

Right, still confused and the birth has been brought forward by about 3.5 weeks!

I've looked at the multipack things you can get for bamboozles and don't mind the price but am confused. Apparently, "Each multi-pack contains 3 x aqua,3 x green,3 x lilac,3 x orange,3 x yellow nappies + 4 x Tots Wraps + 1 pack paper liners"

sooo... ...is that enough? What goes where (I know where the liner should go!) and what other things might I need. Utterly confused by the whole nappy things and slightly panicking that we've only got 2 weeks before the baby arrives and my head isn't working properly any more. :-) Want to try and get stuff sorted so my wife doesn't have to worry

You have approx 2 days worth of nappies there so that is a good start - you can always buy more if you need them once you get into the swing of things.
You know where the liner goes, well the wrap is the waterproof cover which goes over the top of the nappy. You only have 4 because you shouldn't need to change the wrap every time you change the nappy.
Also don't forget that new nappies need washing before you use them to improve the absorbency (and don't forget to buy a nappy bucket!)

Other than that and if you need any more help just shout

HandyTrinkett · 03/02/2007 18:16

Cheers CrinkleChunk. Just bought the bamboozles, got the 15 pack thing but size 2 with poppers (can use from 10lb and the baby is already over 7 apparently!!) and some size 1s which brings our total to 20. Got a nappy bucket this afternoon so we're pretty much all there.

Thanks again for the help! :-)
