How do you 4 year olds fill their time?

I've had 3+ weeks of DD out of preschool (15 hours) due to Easter hols & a virus... she doesn't seem interested in a lot of the things she used to be into - it's becoming increasingly hard to entertain her. I'm dreading the summer holidays...

What toys, activities, classes, games etc are your 4 year olds into?

Dd is 4y4m.

She likes to paint, play certain games (snap/pairs/guess who), go for walks out, play on my tablet, watch movies, dress up, get the playmobil out, help me with chores, water the plants, have a "playtime" bath.

Oh and her favourite is she has a mini china tea set which she uses the dregs of my brew to do a tea party with her disney figurines. And once a toy cow came for tea too.

She will also pay by herself for hours with her toys (she likes small dolls mostly up to Barbie size), playmobile etc, and likes to play "teacher".

My 4 year old DD has just built a lion house with her wooden brick set and she and the lion are now having a tea party. Before that she was counting and classifying her big sisters' 100 strong gogo collection. We have also been to Paw Patrol land for a visit and will doubtless end up discussing Octonauts at great length before bed time.

The best thing is a 100 piece floor jigsaw because it keeps her busy for a while.

Play doh also good.

Tea set requires my involvement.

Painting takes longer to clear away than she spends painting.

She likes making pictures in microsoft paint.

She also plays dolls, barbies, lego.

DS1 likes helping in the garden (watering plants, etc), painting, making collages, puzzles, den building (old sheet over backs of chairs), anything outside. He also likes the orchard games, dressing up, role playing with his superhero figures. I sometimes get those cake mix kits for kids and he enjoys going those, or any sort of baking, and loves making his own pizza.

DD1 likes winding me up and taking toys off her little sister.

She also likes painting, drawing, playing with playdough, pottering in the garden (I've given her a little patch she can dig in), playing on the swing, running about with a ball, riding her bike (sort of), listening to story and song CDs, building towers and castles with blocks/lego, dressing her dolls and soft toy animals, baking with me, helping me do jobs like emptying the dishwasher and tidying her room, cooking meals with her toy food. That kind of thing. She's just started getting into puzzles now that's she's worked out how to do them. She also "reads" a lot, and watches more Netflix than she should because I'm heavily pregnant and need to rest.

Every now and then we make some crafty things we've seen on Pinterest.

Depends if it's with me or independently. He's quite a good independent player. He loves space and so will play with his planets for on end, or watches YouTube videos about the solar system. He likes making 'garbage dumbs' one of loads of toys (HATE this game) and sometimes will play with other things like his playmobil and dublo.

With me, he would pretty much do anything. Loves me reading to him or playing games like buckaroo or jigsaws. Hates drawing. Likes play dough but always wants to make 'poos' so that gets a bit boring for me, haha.
He would also play for hours in the park or going round outside on his scooter

DS is 4 (5 this summer) and in Reception so some time has to be spent doing the frigging annoying home learning. But for fun we will stick a wet suit on and play with the sand and water table outside, play Lego, built robots out of junk and boxes, draw, colour in sheets I've downloaded off the Internet and printed for him, do cutting out, play Buckaroo or similar, stickers, play some bizarre made-up game with his little sister (which I cannot fathom at all), sort through his extensive collection of pebbles from beach trips, do whatever weird craft thing I've picked up in Tiger or Poundland this week, play at the train table, make a run for his cars from toilet rolls... It's endless, really!
