I'm expecting DC3 next month. DS1 (3 1/2) who is dead excited, just asked if Baby was going to POP out of my tummy like POPCORN (which he loves) - POP POP POP YUMMY YUMMY
! If only.....what good ideas did yours have?

4 year old DD already knows babies come out from a woman's lady bits. We had that conversation because we were talking about belly buttons and I told her how my DM had believed babies came out the bellybutton until she was 19 Confused

I was then forced to explain where they really came from Grin

My 3 year old asked. So I told her. I left out some of the more graphic details.

It went something like this:

I will need to go to hospital so that the midwives and doctors can look after me. My "minky" (her word for her parts) will stretch and grow and I'll have to squeeze the baby out of there. It's like doing a giant poo, but it's not poo it's a baby and it's not out of your bottom, it's out of your lady parts. Then afterwards I'll need some time to shrink my tummy and my lady parts back to normal again.

Awkward but I felt she was old enough for a simplified version of the truth. We watched a couple of YouTube videos of other mammals giving birth.
