BUM EXPLOSIONS!!!

I've just started using Kushies Ultra with biodegradeable one way liners and a booster pad but Lo has had wet bum explosions which come out the side and cover her clothes ( and anything else within range!) Has anyone else encountered this. I care about the environment, however, surely it is worse if you are having to wash loads more clothes 'cos of leaking nappies?

Any advice anyone?

Probably not what you want to hear, but I tried kushies ultra, and didn't find them very good on the containment front... so I started using different nappies and sold the kushies. I put it down to dd's shape - the kushies always looked huge on her, and never seemed to fit in the right places, like round her legs. Bambino mio prefolds and wraps during the day and bumbles or swaddlebees fitted with an airflow wrap at night do the trick for us, and despite dd's best efforts, she hasn't managed to fill any more babygrows . I did try another make of all-in-one, but didn't find them any more leak proof than the kushies.

I've never had a leak with MEOs & airflow wraps - even when dd had diarrhoea.

The liner might make leaks more likely?

THANKS - did some research when pg and Kushies came out tops - but you are right - they don't fit her properly around the legs. Had to use tiny disposables when she was brand new as she was so small and the kushies just fit her now. I'll take a look at your suggestions and I can always sell the Kushies on ebay.

You could always try putting a wrap over the kushies for now, until things 'settle down'.
We had a tiny little boy and used bummis super whisper wraps because they were the best fit on his little skinny legs.
