At what age did people take the head support out of the car seat?

I took it at 6 months, dependent on every baby , when their head barely fits is time to take it off.

I've been wondering about this - my baby is only 2 months old but his head hardly fits. It doesn't fit at all if he has any kind of hat on! Confused It seems far too early to me but he is on the large side (95th centile). His head control is good but not that good!

My little girl is 3 months, her head still fits but she just looks really uncomfortable.
