DD holding it in rather than using potty

DD age 2.5 years started potty training at weekend with little success so far. Both yesterday and so far today she hasn't done a pee in her potty but had a wet nappy after her nap (I only put her back in nappies for sleep time). So I suspect she's holding it in, despite seeming v. ready for the potty and talking un-prompted about how she is going to use it, not wanting to wear nappies only 'big girl pants'etc... She seems to be OK with having a poo in the potty. She's back in nursery tomorrow where a few of her little pals are already trained so am hoping that might make her relax a bit.

What d'ya think?

sounds familiar. my son definately holds it when I let him run round nappyless he will only wee when absolutely desperate so we either get a big puddle on the floor or he waits till he's in the bath. My neice did the same thing aswell, but after a couple of weeks of persevering she stopped doing it and potty trained in a couple of weeks.
