what is everyones definition of grasping something?

is it holding onto your finger
is it say pulling the toys on a play gym
is it holding something that someone places in your hand
is it reaching out and picking something up for youself

what do you reckon?

grasp 1: v: to take hold of eagerly with the fingers or arms.

grasp 2: n: a firm hold.
