Have spotted some size two fluffles for sale and wanted to know if anyone had sucesfuly folded them down and used them as newborn nappies? (ie instead of size ones). I am sceptical and want to avoid leaks!

I bought a mix of size one bamboozles and size two fluffles intending to use both on my newborn but to be honest the fluffles were so huge they were quite difficult to get on. They didn't leak but just looked rather uncomfortable and it was hard to get his baby clothes on over the top.

I ended up using only the bamboozles for the first few months, with fluffles just for emergencies when I ran out of bamboozles. However from about 4 months on I began phasing them in more often and am now entirely on fluffles.

You can get trial packs from totsbots website, worth trying them out perhaps before deciding?

thnaks MG, trial pack sounds like a good idea, just to ask how many fluffles are you now using?

I think I have 10 or 12. Definitely not more than 12. I use about 4-6 a day and wash every 2-3 days. If you planned to wash every day you could probably get away with as few as 6-8 because the main plus about fluffles is that they dry almost instantly, certainly overnight, so you can put a wash on in the evening and have dry nappies for the following morning.

As an aside I found Motherease Rikki wraps better than the tots bots own for daytime use. Although I saw on the Tots website that they have redesigned their wraps so perhaps the new generation are better.
