'front bottom'

Boys have willies, but what do girls have? My two year old daughter knows what Daddy has but at the moment calls the other a bottom too. What is the best thing to call it that isn't too medical (anything Latin) but is also MiL friendly (she's 80 and describes family life as 'God puts little seeds in Mummies' tummies, and Daddies bring the pennies. Odd, considering I've done most of the pennies and H has done a huge share of the Mummies' job)?? Seriously, I need to know!

When I was little it was my 'tinky'. I realise that post telly-tubbies that may not be so good a term, but I'm using it for dd, 'cos I don't know what else to call it either!

calmontheoutside · 06/01/2007 15:07

I quite like that, but I can't use a term that makes me laugh!

we had a winky so I guess the whole telly-tubby thing can be looked at in a different way!!

I use bits to describe a girls, winky to describe a boys.

mulls · 02/05/2008 16:49

I call my 2 year olds her foo foo!

Seona1973 · 02/05/2008 18:37

dd's is her front bum and ds has a willy

aGalChangedHerName · 02/05/2008 18:38

We call the boys a winky and girls have a flower

LynetteScavo · 02/05/2008 18:47

I can't bring my self to say anything other than "front bottom" in a public toilet, so that's what DD calls it now.

I called it a fanny when I was little, as did all the other little girls I knew.

I'm wondering how many posts it will be before someone come along and shouts "It's a VULVA!"

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 02/05/2008 18:48

My DD calls it her 'jina. Shortened from vagina and sounds sweet but 'proper'

FrannyandZooey · 02/05/2008 18:51

well, it is a vulva
perfectly good word
useful to have correct terminology and shows you aren't ashamed of that part of the body, too

ruddynorah · 02/05/2008 18:54

we call it a vulva. well me and dd do. shes 2 next month. dh still says front bottom or just... bottom...sigh..

Rosbo · 02/05/2008 18:56

my DDs called it a flower too

Frexylady · 19/05/2008 17:25

My DD calls it a butterfly at the moment (her cousin calls hers a 'wiggy'!)

IdrisTheDragon · 19/05/2008 17:26

DD has bits, DS has a willy.

I know it is a vulva .

PortAndLemon · 19/05/2008 17:29

If you can't take "vulva" then what about "privates"? It's not too cutesy-wutesy and if she needs to describe the area to a doctor or teacher they will at least know what she means.
