2 month old, lots of dribbling!

My 2 month old daughter has just started dribbling a lot (clear fluid) - she also seems a bit cranky (for her)...could it be teething so soon??! She's also desperately trying to suck her thumb a lot, so wondered if this could be cause of excess salivation? Or is it perfectly normal?!

My DS started dribbling LOADS at an early age (can't remember exactly but would guess 3 months) - he is 6 months now and still no teeth. The dribbling did stop after a couple of months so I have still no idea what it was.

Not much help I know but just thought I would share my experience.

My ds started the teething process around 3 months, but didn't get any teeth until 7 months. It was a long, drool-filled time for us.

Gosh, I'm pretty sure my ds starting drooling (and chewing) at 4 months and we didn't have so much as a single tooth til 14 months. Even now at 18 he only has 4 (imagine the fun I have to come).

OK, so lots more dribbling to be expected, then! Just wondered why it was so sudden and so much!! Thanks.
