My DD's bike has arrived it's 18" and looks very small in the box i'm just worried about putting it together and finding it's too small, is 18" about right ?
TIA

I think the size of the bike frame has to suit your dd's height. If you measure her inside leg and telephone the company you bought the bike from they should be able to check. Alternatively telephone a local bicycle shop and ask their advice.

I'd have thought a 20" but may also depend on size of wheels etc. Inside leg should determine it as mumyagain says.

We advice on this at Christmas and the guy said a number of things. On a 20" frame the inside leg measurement should be at least 19". If they have never riden a bike before and are not confident, getting on a bike that is too big for them will do more harm than good (apparently). How tall is she? My niece is 6 in May and probably average height for her age. Her dad was adamant she needed a 20" frame and her inside measurement was 19" but when he took her to the shop to sort it all out they advised a 18". Def go to a local bike shop and get them to look at her.
