Today we had an early Easter egg hunt with my son and all of his cousins, They had to collect their set egg colours and inside each egg they had either a little toy or a few sweets!
It was my job to stuff the eggs.
My son has autism doesn't eat chocolate or sweets however he has a BIG obession with animals, because of this I decided to only use little toy animals in his eggs and no sweets / chocolate. The cousins however got toys ( Shopkins/ cars etc) and sweets... ( their toys were more expensive than my sons!)
ALL the children were very happy with their eggs HOWEVER the parents weren't. They said it wasn't fair that my son was getting all toys ( they wanted more toys for their kids ) and that my son should have sweets and chocolate to make it fair for their kids ( the children didn't care!)
They said its spoiling my son and giving him what he wants..( he doesn't understand Easter eggs hunts!)
Was I wrong ? Should I of given my son sweets even though he wouldn't touch them?!
