My 4 year old can't sleep without a bed guard!!!

My 4 year old STILL needs a bed guard - if she doesn't have one, she ends up on the floor within about an hour of going to bed. She just ROLLS like crazy in her sleep.

It is a bit of a nuisance because when we go away she can't sleep in a normal single bed unless we block her in.

Should we just remove the bed-rail so she learns to live without it? She doesn't WAKE UP when she rolls out of bed so I'm not sure how this would work.

Will she need a bed rail when she is at college?!?!

My dd1 is five and a half and still rolls out of bed - or she would if she didn't have a bed guard. Lucky really that there is one on her mid-high cabin bed.

It's not something I worry unduly about tbh, I'm sure they grow out of it eventually.

How is your dd2?

perhaps try some pillows instead of the guard.

Is she sleeping with a duvet. You might want to use a sheet and tuck her in.

She is fine today - off to nursery HURRAY! After deciding she had pneumonia she was given a massive dose of antibiotics and was on the mend within 24 hours

I'm so pleased, I felt like I had carried her around for about a month

DD2 stopped falling out of bed when she was about 5, but she has a four foot wide bed and i do still find her with her legs hanging off the edge.
