Baby jumping centiles!

Hi all

My EBF 4 month old baby went from 25th to 75th centiles in just under 2 months. HV didn't seem concerned but I am anyway. I'm type 2 diabetic and on metformin. My consultants told me it's safe while bf but I'm wondering now maybe it can be related? I'm so so worried. It just seems like such s huge jump. Anyone experienced this?

Tia

Hi, my DD started between 25th and 50th centile and she kept going up to nearly 91 by four months. So she just more than doubled in size by then and they say they should double in weight by 6 months. Well after 4 months si put very very little weight on and another baby similar age with her fought up in the last months and she used to be like nearly 1.5 pounds smaller. Every baby grows at different rate, if she's happy I really wouldn't worry. A baby can't eat too much

My son went from 47th and 50th for weight and height at 12 weeks to 99.3rd and 91st at 26 weeks.

He was ebf too.

Thank you both, that's reassuring. I hope he'll get into a steadier pace in the coming months.

My ebf baby went from 9th to 91st in about 3 months, and has followed it since. He was born on time and is very healthy. I'd say your little one is just finding their line!

Thanks helly, how reassuring!!

Two of mine did this. One from 25-75, the other from. 75-beween 91and99. HE and MW reassured me it was clearly full cream milk.

They both levelled off, and have healthy childhood weights now.

2 EBF babies here, both born 50th centile but long and skinny, both settled to 75th centile height and weight by 2 years having skirted 91st on the way. HV made jokes about seal's milk but no-one ever suggested it was a problem.
