I have been one for Lollipop - you can contact them at www.teamlollipop.co.uk. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend them as a company. The tax bit is easy - you need to keep your own books - but can buy a book/ledger which is easy to for about £12. You do need to think what you want out of it - whether it is just to spread the cloth word or whether you want to run a successful business - both are welcome at Lollipop but to run any business sucessfully you need to work hard. Lollipop has a dedicated advisor forum and training days which are very useful for setting up and running your business, getting advice and ideas - kind of like mumsnet!

There are other companies out there - but wouldn't be able to comment on how they work.

Good luck!

(for those Lollipopers trying to figure it out who I am - it's your ex-secret agent! )

Is that me? I did it for about 2 years until mine were out of cloth - but now expecting no.3 so in hinsight maybe should have kept going

My turnover (sales) exceeded £20K per annum last financial year - but that is probably at the top end of the scale - also you need to remember that you only get a % of that. Demand around here was very high when I did it because there was no-one else doing it - so that may be worth looking into - you may have another agent/laundry company or supplier right on your doorstep!
