Where do you keep medicines in your home?

I have always kept ours in a kitchen wall cupboard. My kids are now 9 and 6. In theory they could now get a chair and help themselves so wonder if I am being a bit silly. I know my 9 year old is completely trust worthy but I am not sure about my 6 year old. What age do you trust children? Interested to know if people are more safety conscious than me?

General family medicines are kept in a locked cabinet in the family bathroom.
My meds (have lots for a chronic condition) are in a locked cabinet (it's a wall cabinet just not fixed to the wall) under my bed.
Both are from ikea.
