BT 7500 Baby Monitor - LEDs really bright?

Hello - another baby monitor question - we have the BT 7500 monitor - which is brilliant - except that when the temp falls below 16 degrees and the temperature LED light changes to blue, the entire room is lit up by it - its so bright and is waking DD. Most nights at the moment it does fall below 16 which is fine as DD is in 3.5 tog growbag with a fleecy sleepsuit and long vest so she is warm enough. I was thinking of putting duct tape over the LED but am a bit worried about it overheating the unit? Has anyone done this?

Thanks to those who replied on my overnight usage thread. Very interesting to read the range of views.

I'm pretty sure you can turn it off in the settings - I'm sure I've done it on mine!

dinodiva thank you! I just found it right there in the temp settings menu...I must have looked at it a hundred times and not seen it before Blush Will remove the duct tape now!
