Replying to Birthday Party Invites

I am giving my dd a party for her 6th birthday, I have sent invites with a deadline to reply by. Out of the 17 children only 10 have replied. I am so annoyed that 7 children's parents have not replied. I understand that not all the children will not be able to come but why not text and say so.
So my dilemma is do I take it that they are not comming or chase them up? what happens if these children just turn up anyway ? This has never happened before to my other children in such a quantity. Wwyd?

Send a duplicate of the invitation or text the parents if you have their numbers. People do this all the time. Every time I do a party, some will forget to reply and maybe turn up or not.

I feel your pain. Dd2 had a party last month. She sent out 70 invites (yes, 70!) and we had 6 replies and 50 turned up.

What kind of party is it? Do you need to pay upfront and have final numbers?
