Co-sleeper crib and rolling baby?

We have a Chicco Next2Me crib. DD is nearing 4 months and although not yet rolling, she is desperately trying to and is getting more mobile in that she manages to wriggle right down the crib during the night so I keep having to pull her back up so her feet don't get squashed.

Possibly a stupid question but.. When she starts rolling, does it become unsafe to have her in the co-sleeper? She isn't sleeping through yet and I've no plans to move her into her nursery until she's 6 months and/or sleeping through, whichever comes first. But if she starts rolling would it mean I need to put the side up on the Chicco? Worried she won't take kindly to that!

Good question...i have the same crib and a 4 month old too. He can roll over and I have found him in our bed next to me a couple of times in the past ten days and have no recollection of how he got there. We co sleep as well so I'm not that concerned safety wise, but not sure if I'm going mad and can't remember a night feed, since his sleep pattern is all over the place atm, or if he rolled there himself.

My little one slept half in the chicco and half on the bed as started to roll. As long as you feel happy about them in your bed I wouldn't worry about putting the side up. I think mine just like to be closer to me so snuck in during the night. I moved mine into his own room when he was about 5 and a half months and he's got much more room now although does still end up close to the bars on his tummy.
