Looking for software to automatically lock laptop when sons screen time is up?

Is there some software I can install on our laptop which will automatically lock it when our 9 year old sons hour of screen time is up as at the moment it turns into a 15 minute discussion/argument/fight which is quite painful for everybody.
I've seen something on library computers where a banner comes up showing 15 minutes left etc and it then locks it when the allotted time is up? That would be ideal.
Any suggestions appreciated.

If it's a Windows laptop you can set up his own user account and set time limits etc using the control panel built into Windows itself

You can set this in the parental controls section of a Windows machine and also on a Mac

There's an app for iOS devices called Our Pact which does this - very easy to use. We've ended up going for something called Koala Safe which is a hardware device which can control every device in the house, both in terms of time and content. It takes longer to set up but gives you much more control.

Both systems allow you to set a schedule for normal use (e.g. Turn off a particular device at 6pm) and to also add or subtract time as you wish. So this afternoon, I was able to give one child an extra 30 minutes to use the Internet for a particular reason, even though it wasn't their usual screen time, and their access went off automatically without me having to remind them to stop.
