FF baby poops like a BF baby

Not the nicest of topics but I can't take any more staring at pictures of baby poop on the internet.

Due to problems breastfeeding, my 7 week old is now exclusively formula fed on Cow and Gate newborn formula. She has been exclusively on this stuff for over 2 weeks now, and has been supplemented with it since birth.

We have barely any experience with baby poop as since birth, she has not moved her bowels more often than once every 3-4 days, sometimes going up to a week. Doctors, midwives, health visitors - none of them are worried about this. She had the usually first poops, but since then, they've been runny and yellow. Even over the last 2 weeks formula feeding, she still throws out poops just like you'd expect to see from a breastfed baby.

Since yesterday morning she has pooped 3 times, all of which have been up-the-wall explosive ones, but all still very yellow and watery.

Does anyone have any experience with this/suggestions/reassurances? As I said, no one seems to be worried, I'm just a little apprehensive about when her nappy-changes will calm down a few notches..

Formula has prebiotics added which is supposed to keep the poo softer which is why they are still like bf baby poo.

My 9 week old DD is on cow and gate and early on was doing quite a few poo's and it has evened out to 1 in every 24hrs-ish. Very soft, yellowy and large quantities. I've read that everything is fine as long as they go at least once a week.

And every baby is different with regards colour.....as long as there's no blood and theyre not rock hard you should be fine

If the poo is watery I'd speak to a hv or GP. Soft or runny a bit like mustard is fine but regular explosive and watery should be checked.
